Vermont 50 Mountain Bike or Ultra-Run *50 Mile Mtn Bike *50 Mile Run *50 K Run *Team Relay *Free Kids Fun Race!! Ascutney Mountain Resort, Brownsville VT. The race happens every year the last Sunday in September! Race proceeds benefit Vermont Adaptive.

Race Registration Opens May, 25 at 7 p.m. ET , last day to register is Sept. 14th (but the race usually sells out before that date)

Ascutney Mountain Resort is 10 miles from exit 8 or 9 off Interstate 91

Race Parking
Please park at the base lodge (and other designated spots only.) Walk or bike down to the race office-BIG TENT-in the Cunningham building lot (look for signs). Please use parking lots only for parking!! To get to the Base Lodge when turning off Route 44 continue straight (do not take turn). The parking lot will be on your right. If you park on the grass you will be towed!

Race Registration Online
Entrants must pre-register on line by September 14th, or until the race sells out, which ever comes first. Just pick up racer packets on Saturday of race weekend.
    We do not use a waiting list
    No Walk Up Registration
    No Registration on Race Day
    No Transferring of Race Registrations
    Race Registration closes on September 14 at 12 noon ET OR when all races have SOLD OUT.
      Age of Participants:
      Mt Bikers race age is as of 12/31 of race year.
      Runners age is what they are on race day.

      Fee Includes
      Breakfast Munchies, aid station food, Post Race Dinner, T shirt and festivities, and a few more surprises.

      Refund Policy:
      Refunds will be permitted before September 1st. We offer a partial refund of $50.

      Packet/BIB Pick Up Saturday Registration Package Pickup:
      Pick up your registration packets on Saturday, of race weekend, noon to 8:00 p.m. No exceptions.

      Participants must pick up their own registration packets. Photo ID is required to pick up packets.

      Vehicles On Course Must Display a Parking Permit
      Participants must register ONE vehicle at the Information Table to be allowed on course. Relay Teams-one vehicle per team. Please stay off the actual race course as much as possible. You will be given Handler/Crew directions to designated Aid Stations at the Info. Table.

      Drop bags
      Drop bags will be measured and weighed at the Information table also. See Drop Bag 101

      Sunday Race Day
      Pre-Race Racer Meeting: Traffic WILL be an issue, please plan ahead!

      Racer Check IN Opens at 5 AM
      All 50 mile racers must attend and give Bib # to check-in person. (50 mile racers only)

      If you start in a wave ahead of your designated wave/category/age group, your start time will be moved back to the wave time you were classified in and an additional 20 minutes will be added to your finishing time. Your time starts when the chip in your Bib/Plaque crosses the timing mat.
      The race cut off time for everyone is 6:30 p.m.

      Be prepared for a chilly and foggy morning start!

      Relay Team Information
      Relay Race Areas-You must Have A Parking Permit to Drop off Your Team Members-one vehicle per team!

      Mileage breakdown:
      12.3 Miles Start to Skunk Hollow
      17.9 Miles Skunk Hollow to Greenall's
      19.8 Miles Greenall's to finish
      Relay runners are responsible for getting themselves to the exchange points. Only one vehicle per team will be allowed, and it must have an official Parking Permit, which must be obtained at the Information Desk.

      Mountain Bike Race
      Mountain Bike Categories:
      Novice – entry level or first time competitor.
      Sport – intermediate competitor
      Expert – very advanced competitor

      Mt. Bike Age Groups
      12- 17 Junior
      18 - 26 Senior I
      27 - 34 Senior II
      35 - 44 Veteran
      45 - 54 Master I
      55 - 64 Master II
      65 and up Master III
      Biker age as of 12/31 race year

      Additional Mt. Bike Classes:
      Clydesdale – Novice (min. weight 200 lbs)
      Clydesdale – Sport (min. weight 200 lbs)

      Endurance Run Race
      Runners Male and Female in each category and class
      Runner Age Groups:
      70-and up
      Runners age is what they are on race day

      Awards and Prizes Sunday Afternoon:
      MT Bikers approx. 1:00 PM
      50 K Runners approx 2:00 PM
      50 Mile Runners approx 3:00 PM

      Prizes will be awarded to the Top Three in each category only.
      50 Mile Run Relay Teams we will award First: Male team, Female team, Mixed gender team
